Good luck to Emily and Matt - Off to the US for Chaucer’s International Exchange Programme

Underwriting Assistants, Emily Bateman from Casualty and Matthew Smith from Aviation, are heading to the United States to experience and learn about Ansay & Associates, a leading independent insurance agency in the US. They will spend three weeks with Ansay as part of our International Exchange Programme.

Emily and Matthew are both members of our Advance Programme for emerging underwriting talent.

We began our exchange programme in 2015, when two Ansay colleagues from the United States, joined our underwriters in London to experience the Lloyd’s market.

John Fowle, Chief Underwriting Officer, who sponsors the exchange programme said, “We started conversations with Mike Ansay, CEO at Ansay, in 2014 about creating an international development opportunity for Talent in both our companies and I am very pleased at how it is developing.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with a US based insurance agency, which is very different from the Lloyd’s market, and I wish to congratulate Emily and Matthew on their selection. I look forward to hearing about their time with Ansay”.
